The Quine Intellectual Property Law Group, P.C. has an opening for a Patent Attorney in our Alameda, California, office. Our firm has been in business for approximately ten years and our clients include both small and large biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, as well as a variety of institutional clients. This position provides an excellent opportunity to work as part of a highly collegial group of experienced patent practitioners.

MINIMUM qualifications include:

1. a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Molecular Biology or a related discipline;
2. graduation from a top tier law school; and,
3. registration to practice before the USPTO.

   DESIRABLE qualifications include

4. membership in the California Bar;
5. significant experience with U.S. patent prosecution; and
6. a partial book of business.

Compensation is highly competitive and is based upon collections, with modest minimum hourly requirements. Benefits are excellent, including a no vesting period 401K with an employer contribution of 6% of salary (with no matching required), as well as medical, dental, vision and life insurance.
